5th Gen Kia Sportage Hybrid Spotted in Pakistan – Is its Launch Near?

Kia Sportage 5th generation is spotted in Pakistan. Previously, we told you that Lucky Motors is interested in bringing the Sportage’s 5th generation in Pakistan, but that was the intelligence from private sources. Now, it’s confirmed that Lucky Motors is seriously interested in bringing the 5th generation Sportage to Pakistan because our sources just sent us the picture of Camouflaged Sportage on Pakistani roads, which is registered against the Lucky Motor Corporation Limited, so it’s confirmed that Kia Pakistan is testing the 5th gen Sportage hybrid on the roads of Pakistan and it’s launch is near.

Kia tried its best to hide this car, but our team analyzed the body shape, rims, and taillights; it’s confirmed that this camouflaged vehicle is Sportage’s fifth generation.

Upon further analysis, we found out that this specific image was taken on the Sindh side GT road because if you see the number plate, it’s Sindh registered; the two-lane GT roads are mostly on the Sindh side, and the vegetation, a mix of greenery and yellow sand, looks more like the starting areas of Sindh.

The Car is Registered Against Lucky Motors Corporation

Our team did a background check and zoomed in on the number plate, confirming it was registered in Sindh. We then entered the number on Sindh’s Excise website, which showed that this specific plate belongs to a test variant by Lucky Motors registered against the company itself.

Based on the tax clearance date, this test variant appears to have arrived in Pakistan on September 30, 2024, with number plate registration completed at the Excise office on November 4, 2024.

Now, we predict that it’s a long game because Kia will test this car for at least 9-12 months before considering launching it in Pakistan. However, it’s now confirmed that Kia is fully interested in bringing the 5th-generation Sportage to Pakistan.

We don’t know if Kia will introduce the CKD or CBU unit so far, but according to trends, we think that they’ll first launch the CBU units for testing. Then Kia will start producing the CKD units that are locally assembled in the Pakistani market.

Let us know what you think about the 5th generation Sportage.
